Welcome To Interfaith Families
We invite you to be part of the AJ Community!
Adath Jeshurun's Outreach Principles are based on the principles of outreach that were drafted by Conservative Judaism's National Keruv Initiative Committee chaired by Rabbi Slosberg in 2008. AJ is committed to fostering Jewish marriage and family life. We offer couples and families the support and resources to create Jewish homes and to practice and grow in Judaism.
AJ welcomes interfaith couples. Their loving commitment to one another enriches us, as does their participation in our congregations. We seek to share with them the gifts of our faith, practices, learning, and fellowship.
AJ embraces and welcomes interfaith families. We can help them to strengthen their knowledge and observance of Judaism, and to deepen their connections to the synagogue, the Jewish community, and the Jewish people.
AJ actively seeks to nurture and support the spiritual journey of non-Jewish partners who join us, to deepen their connections to the synagogue, the Jewish community, and to the Jewish people.
AJ joyously partners with all who join us in creating homes rich in Jewish tradition, and in raising children as learned and committed Jews.
The Conservative Movement's Outreach Principles state that the Movement remains deeply committed to the preeminence of Jewish law and tradition and is committed to providing a welcoming atmosphere where individuals and families can develop meaningful connections to Judaism.
Participants are invited to feel at home, enjoy our friendship, find support, and join our spiritual journeys. Members & guests are invited to learn through our educational programs, grow through the study of Jewish traditions and texts, pray with us and discover the meaning of our prayers, and participate in meaningful social action programs. Experience the joy and the meaning of a life of mitzvot (the religious and ethical obligations for leading a Jewish life). Come learn and grow with us. We invite you to join our community!
