AJ has taken steps to increase security in and around the building.  Please be aware of two important changes:

1. All doors are now LOCKED AT ALL TIMES, including minyan.  Please use the doorbell to enter the building.

2. THE WOODBOURNE AVENUE DOORS ARE NOW “EXIT-ONLY” DOORS.

We have taken additional security measures including adding more security officers, upgrading security monitoring equipment, and more.  These non-budgeted expenses are increasing quickly.  We are asking for your help in offsetting these costs.  We have added a new AJ Security Fund to serve as a collection point for these donations. To make a contribution online, please visit: www.adathjeshurun.com/donate or you may send a check to the AJ office with a note stating that the contribution is for the  “Security Fund.”

Thank you for your support and understanding as we take steps to keep you safe.

We thank the Phyllis & Michael Shaiikun Tikkun Olam Fund for subsidizing the cost of the detectors!

CAN YOU HELP CHILDREN IN EMERGENCY FOSTER CARE?

LBSY is sponsoring a new Tikkun Olam project. Students are collecting donations of items to be placed in decorated duffle bags.   The bags will go to family court judges who can give them out to children placed in emergency foster care.  A collection box has been set up at AJ in the hallway across from the Information Station.  Your donations of the following items are very much appreciated!

• New stuffed animals
• New toiletries
• Clean blankets in good condition
• Clean small pillows in good condition
