Childcare
AJ is excited to announce that we will offer childcare without fees this year! In order to provide quality childcare professionals as well as snacks, activities, and supplies, we do ask that families make advance reservations for childcare no later than September 14, 2025. Childcare for infants through grade 5 is available for the entire duration of the worship services. Infants must be at least six weeks old. We look forward to caring for your children and grandchildren!

Main Sanctuary Services
Services will be held in the combined David & Jonathan Blue Family Sanctuary/Charles & Jean K. Erskine Auditorium and led by Rabbi Scott Hoffman, Cantor David Lipp, and Rabbi Laura Metzger. We will continue to offer open seating during these services.

Memorial Book
You may download the 2025 Memorial Book HERE.

Family Services
This year’s Family Services have been redesigned by Rabbi Scott and will be led by Guest Rabbi David Bloom. Designed for children up to Grade 5, these services will be held on both days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. The Family Service will begin at 10:30 and last for about one hour, followed by snacks (RH only) and social time until noon.

Parents and grandparents are very welcome and should be included on the childcare reservation form (paper) or emailed to us (if registering online) so that we have seating for everyone.

Tashlich
AJ is offering two opportunities to experience Tashlich on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. At the conclusion of services on the First Day of Rosh Hashanah, the Rabbis and Cantor will lead those who wish to walk to the corner of Millvale Road and Park Boundary Road. (If you wish to drive, there is some parking there as well.) At 5:00 p.m. that day, a shared Tashlich service (with KI) will take place at Big Rock Pavilion followed by 5:45 p.m. minyan at the park. (Afternoon minyan will not take place at AJ on September 23.)

Rap & Reflect
Dr. Bruce Tasch will lead Rap & Reflect on Yom Kippur afternoon, Thursday, October 2 at 2:00 p.m.

The topic for this in-person session is "As Conservative Movement Judaism evolves with the times, at what point does it cease to be Conservative Movement Judaism? How far is too far?"

JFCS High Holidays Food Drive
The JFCS Food Pantry is experiencing unprecedented demand, currently distributing an average of 8,000 pounds of food each month. Last year, the High Holidays Food Drive collected 4,500 pounds. It’s time to increase our giving to meet demand. The goal this year is 8,000 pounds during the drive.

How can you help meet this BIG goal?

  • Download shopping list here or pick up a bag at AJ.
  • If you gave one bag last year, give two bags instead!
  • Make a monetary donation to JFCS directly here.
  • Shop the Food Pantry’s Amazon Wish List here.

Bags (with lists attached) are available now at the Information Station and will be available through Rosh Hashanah. Return no later than Yom Kippur, October 2nd.
